Audio demos

New demos!

A demo track from Christian Laffitte, sound designer / demo composer for leading synth companies (M-Audio, Arturia, AAS...). All sounds are produced by UFO except drums/percussions and a few effects (orchestra hit, vocals)

Morphing

This example demonstrates the Morphing feature, between a wind instrument and a percussive sound. You will hear the source sound first: a pan flute / bottle type of sound, then the target sound: a kind of steel drum, and finally UFO slowly morphing from the source to the target.

Textures

To make this demo, we dialed the "Infinite space" preset, then pressed two keys at the beginning of the recording and released them at the end (no sequencer, no arpeggiator). A quick and easy way to compose ambient tracks!

In the next two examples, we take advantage of the fact that UFO is multitimbral, allowing one instance of the plugin to play up to 4 different sounds simultaneously. By layering several sounds, you can create rich sonic landscapes. In these demos, we simply pressed a key or two for about 30 seconds while recording.

Full length demo tracks

Want to hear real life applications of UFO? This is the place: these few tracks featuring different musical styles were recorded using UFO and a drum machine.

Ambient : thanks to its comprehensive modulation matrix, UFO is particularly well suited for synthesizing complex pads. This track features a set of mostly atmospheric and clean presets.   (or download mp3)

Hardcore : starting with a virtual didgeridoo, this track evolves into a somewhat dark techno style. After the ethereal pads found in the first demo, some of the sounds in this track explore the opposite side of the sonic palette, showing the dirty and grainy sounds that can be achieved by pushing the oscillator to the edge.   (or download mp3)

House : UFO is also able to produce more organic sounds. This track makes use of presets that call the electric and acoustic worlds to mind: electric piano, bass, flute, organ, wah guitar...   (or download mp3)

Classical : in the same style as the short Cathedral demo, this track explores a totally different musical style, showing that the use of UFO is not limited to electronic music.   (or download mp3)
